Learn

LEARNING FROM HISTORY –SHOULD BE HORRORSTORY
The French revolution (1789-1799) Amidst a fiscal crisis, the common people of France were increasingly angered by the incompetency of King Louis XVI and the continued indifference and decadence of the aristocracy. The Russian revolution (1917) During this chaotic period there were frequent mutinies, protests and many strikes. South Africa (1994 -2013) The South African farming community has suffered from attacks for many years. Strikes – On virtually every level strikes are taking place – for lack of service delivery, in the mining industry, Telkom, magistrates, and more.
History has shown, and should teach us, to see the signs of unrest. Look at the history of revolutions. In each and every case it was about the haves and the have nots. The old saying about feasting while London was burning, or “Give the people cake” when they did not have bread, all shown the lack of recognition to the first glowing embers of future fire against the leaders. Listen to the people, they are the ones who allowed you the right to lead. Play leadership, not politics!
